Laphroaig 34 Year Old (1987) The Ian Hunter Story 4

The fourth installment in Laphroaig’s Ian Hunter Story series unveils a 1987-vintage single malt, aged for 34 years. This exceptional whisky was initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and then underwent a finishing period in first-fill European oak ex-oloroso sherry casks. Enticing aromas of dried fruit, gentle smoke, tobacco leaves, eucalyptus, heather honey, black pepper, and cinder toffee greet the nose. On the palate, flavors of barbecued pork, sweet honey, peach, orange blossom, iodine, earthy peat, and ashy wood smoke intertwine, leading to a satisfying finish that lingers with finesse.
