NOSE Evoking memories of Christmas fruitcake, this whisky boasts rich sherry sweetness with hints of caramelized brown sugar dominating.
PALATE On the palate, the experience continues with dark bitter chocolate complemented by notes of nutmeg and intense spicy oakiness.
FINISH The finish is dry, long, and characterized by a lingering sherried-oak essence.
Tasting Notes by Billy A: NOSE Hints of blackcurrant and liquorice sweets mingle with the scent of damp bracken and smouldering hay, presenting an aged aroma with classic dunnage warehouse undertones. Rich peat combines with traditional medicinal notes of TCP and sea-spray ozone, balanced by sweet nuances of icing sugar, chocolate butter icing, and candied fruit.
PALATE Rich peat flavors intertwine with dark chocolate and damp-forest campfire sensations, accompanied by earthy rancio and cinnamon spice. Sweet-and-sour fruity notes emerge, including apples, mango, star fruit, and bitter orange peel, alongside dark, sweet liquorice.
FINISH A robust and spicy start transitions into tingly black-pepper heat, gradually fading to reveal lingering impressions of liquorice, chocolate sauce, and stewed fruit.
