Producer’s Tasting Notes:
COLOR:
A deep, warm ruby glow emanates from within, reminiscent of authentic Turkish delight.
BODY:
Charismatically medium-weighted, it gracefully glides around the glass, displaying style and effervescence.
NOSE:
With a touch of spring water at 50.5%, this malt opens up, revealing incredible aromas. Initially, you’re greeted by sweet floral notes of vibrant gorse, honeysuckle, and sweet peas, accompanied by subtle briney undertones. Close your eyes, and you’re transported to Islay’s rugged coast, feeling the sun on your face and the wind in your hair. Take a deeper breath, and you’re whisked away to the Pomerol grape fields of Chateau Lafleur. Immerse yourself in a glorious picnic of summer strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and juicy plums. Pomegranate and watermelon add an enchanting deliciousness that sends waves of pleasure coursing through you. Amidst the fruity symphony, sweet vanilla and warm toasted oak reacquaint you with the original bourbon cask maturation. It’s an astounding combination, born from the superb vintage Laddie, further enhanced in the exquisite Chateau Lafleur French wine casks for 9 months. A match made in heaven.
PALATE:
The mouthfeel is irresistibly smooth and silky, with delicate oils gently coating the palate. The complex flavors, though subtle, harmonize like a perfectly orchestrated symphony. The fresh red fruits continue to sing like choirs of angels, while deep vanilla exudes a quiet confidence, playing a supportive role in the background. The malted barley makes its presence known, providing a gentle reminder of the humble origins of this remarkable malt.
FINISH:
This limited-edition masterpiece is truly one-of-a-kind and deserves your undivided attention from beginning to end. Take your time to savor and appreciate the journey it offers, as it unfolds with finesse and delight.
