Laphroaig

Laphroaig (La-‘froyg) literally means “the beautiful hollow by the broad bay.” Born from the streams and blue peat smoke of Islay, Laphroaig is a single malt Scotch whisky with a distinct taste and story in every bottle.

The secret to Laphroaig is that it benefits from the pleasant environment of where it is handcrafted – next to ocean water and on land that gives every sip of this whisky a unique, peaty taste. Laphroaig is one of only a few distilleries that still uses traditional malting floors, and dries and infuses its own malt with the thick blue smoke from old peat-fired kilns.

Firstly, Laphroaig regularly delights the fans of the Islay peated single malt with releases at cask strength. Beam Suntory now presented the Laphroaig 25 Year Old Cask Strength 2021 and the Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13.

Both whiskies were matured exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled non-chill filtere. The Laphroaig 25 Year Old Cask Strength 2021 presents itself with strong 57.9% ABV, the Laphroaig 25 Year Old Cask Strength 2021 still delivers remarkable 51.9% ABV after 25 years of maturation.

Batch 14 of the Laphroaig 10 Years of Cask Strength has already been announce for November 2021
